Valençay, Sophie Siadou x Mary Taylor

A delightfully drinkable red blend from the Loire Valley

Domaine Jourdain has been farmed since 1990 by Sophie Siadou and her partner Francis Jourdain. Originally from Avignon, Sophie arrived in Valençay to work on a goat farm (the region is renowned for its pyramid-shaped goat’s cheese), where she met Francis.

A juicy, summery blend of 35% Gamay, 35% Cot (Malbec), and 30% Pinot Noir. This cuvée is known as “Les Griottes” or ‘the cherries’ as its gentle flavour and character has notes of red fruits (cherry, blackcurrant), with a hint of spices in the finish.
