Léon Beyer, ‘Réserve Personnelle’ Muscat

£21.00

Alsace is the only French region to vinify Muscat in a dry style

Situated just outside the impressive medieval town of Eguisheim, the Beyer family have produced wine in these parts since 1580. The firm was formally founded in 1870 by Emile Beyer who was succeeded by a son and grandson, both named Léon Beyer and both mayors of Eguisheim in their day.

This wine is a blend of two types of Muscat vines – ‘Alsace Muscat’ and ‘Muscat Ottonel’. The bouquet is typically ‘Muscat’, but not overwhelmingly so; the palate is rich, but also has a little spice.
