Fresh, zippy and floral Bacchus from Devon

The winery was founded in 1992 by Nigel Howard, though the first vines weren’t planted until 2009. The first sparkling harvest was in 2013 followed by a still wine harvest in 2014. Today, Lyme Bay Winery is proud to be recognised as the UK’s most awarded English still wine producer.

From vineyards in Devon, Sandbar Bacchus is picked a little early to preserve all the aromatics of this delicate grape. The early picking results in slightly higher residual sugar, but this is perfectly balanced by the zippy acidity.

Local delivery

Local delivery is available within a 10 mile radius of the shop (NE8 2AJ) for a flat fee of £5. If you spend over £75, we will deliver for free.

We deliver Tuesday – Sunday. Order by 5pm for next day delivery, subject to stock availability. Need it faster? Order by 12pm for same day delivery, excluding Saturdays.

Collection

Free collection from the shop is always available, and you can collect any time during our normal opening hours. Please place your order by 11am on the day of collection, and collect within 7 days.

UK-wide delivery

Wine orders: We offer a flat-rate of £12 for UK delivery on all wine or mixed orders. Food orders: We offer a flat-rate of £5 for UK delivery if your order contains food products only. If you spend over £150, delivery is free.

Please note, as we are closed Monday and Tuesday, orders received over the weekend may not be shipped until Wednesday. Once dispatched, our courier aims to deliver next day. Excludes Northern Ireland. Some areas of Scotland will incur a surcharge, please contact us to confirm.
