A very powerful expression of Gamay from Brouilly

Part of Les Cuvées Militantes from Fleur Godart’s Vin et Volailles – a series of wines to take a stance on sexism, racism and homophobia. This wine calls out the superstitions that keep women from cellars during fermentation.

The wine is made as a collaboration with Athenaïs de Béru. Gamay is sourced from the granitic soils in Brouilly and vinified using whole clusters. After fermentation sugars are finished in old Burgundy barrels where the wine ages for up to 16 months.

An amazing fragrant and powerful Gamay with dried blueberry, lavender and rosemary notes on the nose. The palate is elegant and long with aromas of scrubbed herbs and violets. Beautiful length and complexity.
