In the early 1980s Iñake Petralanda Uria Zearra was finding it difficult to find a reliable source of good wines for his restaurant in Bilbao, so he decided to make his own. Establishing a winery in his wife’s home town of Fuenmajor in the heart of Rioja Alta in 1983, he hasn’t looked back and now runs a thriving bodega.

Fermented in stainless steel for one week and left for a further week on the lees for colour extraction, the wine is aged for 2 years in French and American oak barrels and filtered before bottling, where it lies for a further five years prior to release. Perfumed and spicy with multi-layered flavours of mocca and black cherries, worth decanting.

Local delivery

Local delivery is available within a 10 mile radius of the shop (NE8 2AJ) for a flat fee of £5. If you spend over £75, we will deliver for free.

We deliver Tuesday – Sunday. Order by 5pm for next day delivery, subject to stock availability. Need it faster? Order by 12pm for same day delivery, excluding Saturdays.

Collection

Free collection from the shop is always available, and you can collect any time during our normal opening hours. Please place your order by 11am on the day of collection, and collect within 7 days.

UK-wide delivery

We offer a flat-rate of £12 for UK delivery. If you spend over £150, delivery is free. Please note, as we are closed Monday and Tuesday, orders received over the weekend may not be shipped until Wednesday. Once dispatched, our courier aims to deliver next day.
