This wine represents the Pérez Cuevas family’s commitment to organic, and their drive to increase sustainability throughout their substantial holdings in Rioja

The Tempranillo grapes are sourced from certified organic vineyards at altitudes of around 500m. Ontañón have 57 hectares of low-yielding organic vineyards and 300 barrels dedicated to organic wines. There is a long maceration of the grapes (over 20 days) and fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures. Ecológico spends five months in American and French oak barrels (new and 1-2 year old barrels).

Ripe plum and dark cherry fruit with a twist of spice and gentle tannins. A full-flavoured modern style of Rioja.

Local delivery

Local delivery is available within a 10 mile radius of the shop (NE8 2AJ) for a flat fee of £5. If you spend over £75, we will deliver for free.

We deliver Tuesday – Sunday. Order by 5pm for next day delivery, subject to stock availability. Need it faster? Order by 12pm for same day delivery, excluding Saturdays.

Collection

Free collection from the shop is always available, and you can collect any time during our normal opening hours. Please place your order by 11am on the day of collection, and collect within 7 days.

UK-wide delivery

Wine orders: We offer a flat-rate of £12 for UK delivery on all wine or mixed orders. Food orders: We offer a flat-rate of £5 for UK delivery if your order contains food products only. If you spend over £150, delivery is free.

Please note, as we are closed Monday and Tuesday, orders received over the weekend may not be shipped until Wednesday. Once dispatched, our courier aims to deliver next day. Excludes Northern Ireland. Some areas of Scotland will incur a surcharge, please contact us to confirm.
