Unique and characterful white, with powerful, earthy aromas and great concentration

Produced from 18 parcels of pre-phylloxera Verdeja vines grown at around 850m altitude in sandy soils (Verdeja has smaller grapes and bunches more oval than Verdejo). These vines are between 120 and 140 years old. After hand-harvesting and alcoholic fermentation using naturally occuring yeasts in stainless steel (with no malolactic fermentation) the wine spends around 10 months in a combination of 500L French oak barrels, stainless steel, and amphorae of different sizes (and partly made using the clay from the estate) in La Seca. It is aged for a further 2 years in bottle before release.

Aromatic orchard fruit and herbal notes. A complex, textural palate with baked apple and ripe lemon acidity, balanced well-integrated oak characters, and depth and minerality from partial ageing in amphora.

Local delivery

Local delivery is available within a 10 mile radius of the shop (NE8 2AJ) for a flat fee of £5. If you spend over £75, we will deliver for free.

We deliver Tuesday – Sunday. Order by 5pm for next day delivery, subject to stock availability. Need it faster? Order by 12pm for same day delivery, excluding Saturdays.

Collection

Free collection from the shop is always available, and you can collect any time during our normal opening hours. Please place your order by 11am on the day of collection, and collect within 7 days.

UK-wide delivery

Wine orders: We offer a flat-rate of £12 for UK delivery on all wine or mixed orders. Food orders: We offer a flat-rate of £5 for UK delivery if your order contains food products only. If you spend over £150, delivery is free.

Please note, as we are closed Monday and Tuesday, orders received over the weekend may not be shipped until Wednesday. Once dispatched, our courier aims to deliver next day. Excludes Northern Ireland. Some areas of Scotland will incur a surcharge, please contact us to confirm.
