A fruit forward style of Graves

Xavier and Caroline Perromat took over Château Calvimont in 2012, along with Château de Cérons. The couple purchased Xavier’s parents’ estate and actively began to put their own stamp on the vines and the wines.

Grapes are grown on mixed gravel soil with sand and small stones that rest on oceanic limestone subsoils. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats with successive rounds of pumping over to allow a gentle extraction. After this the wine is run off and transferred to stainless-steel vats for malolactic fermentation. Ageing takes place in stainless steel for 6 months. Lovely aromas of autumn brambles, forest floor and cedar wood. This wine is rich, soft and perfumed with mature red fruit, but with sufficient acidity to gently lift the whole thing.

Local delivery

Local delivery is available within a 10 mile radius of the shop (NE8 2AJ) for a flat fee of £5. If you spend over £75, we will deliver for free.

We deliver Tuesday – Sunday. Order by 5pm for next day delivery, subject to stock availability. Need it faster? Order by 12pm for same day delivery, excluding Saturdays.

Collection

Free collection from the shop is always available, and you can collect any time during our normal opening hours. Please place your order by 11am on the day of collection, and collect within 7 days.

UK-wide delivery

Wine orders: We offer a flat-rate of £12 for UK delivery on all wine or mixed orders. Food orders: We offer a flat-rate of £5 for UK delivery if your order contains food products only. If you spend over £150, delivery is free.

Please note, as we are closed Monday and Tuesday, orders received over the weekend may not be shipped until Wednesday. Once dispatched, our courier aims to deliver next day. Excludes Northern Ireland. Some areas of Scotland will incur a surcharge, please contact us to confirm.
