Ancestrale-method fizz, from off the beaten track Gaillac

Also known as Méthode Gaillacoise, this involves a single fermentation with no additional sugar or dosage being introduced. Along with Limoux, Gaillac can easily claim to be one of the pioneers of what modern winemakers call pétillant naturel. Somewhat off the beaten wine track now, but wine was being produced in Gaillac by the Romans long before vines were planted in Bordeaux or Burgundy, and it is home to some of France’s most unusual grape varieties.

This organic, Mauzac-based, bottle-fermented fizz is wonderfully off-dry with fresh apple fruit and a light, soft finish. Enjoy with or without sunshine, before, during, or after you eat.

Local delivery

Local delivery is available within a 10 mile radius of the shop (NE8 2AJ) for a flat fee of £5. If you spend over £75, we will deliver for free.

We deliver Tuesday – Sunday. Order by 5pm for next day delivery, subject to stock availability. Need it faster? Order by 12pm for same day delivery, excluding Saturdays.

Collection

Free collection from the shop is always available, and you can collect any time during our normal opening hours. Please place your order by 11am on the day of collection, and collect within 7 days.

UK-wide delivery

Wine orders: We offer a flat-rate of £12 for UK delivery on all wine or mixed orders. Food orders: We offer a flat-rate of £5 for UK delivery if your order contains food products only. If you spend over £150, delivery is free.

Please note, as we are closed Monday and Tuesday, orders received over the weekend may not be shipped until Wednesday. Once dispatched, our courier aims to deliver next day. Excludes Northern Ireland. Some areas of Scotland will incur a surcharge, please contact us to confirm.
