Wine Tastings & Pop Ups

Wine Tastings

Our events usually take place on Fridays and, unless otherwise stated, start at 7pm. They centre around France and are a great way to learn more about wine in a relaxed and informal setting. All events are strictly limited in number. Ticket release dates are noted next to each event, and will be released at 10am on the release date through our newsletter. Any remaining tickets will go on general sale at 1pm.

Please note: ticket sales are final and are not refundable.

Our June event is a celebration of migration, showcasing some wonderful winemakers who now call France home.

We’ll be tasting a mixture of whites and reds, all from winemakers who have emigrated to France to follow their viticultural dreams!

Tour de Vin is a wine tasting along this year’s Tour de France route.

Episode 1 take places the day before the Grand Depart and focuses solely on white wines. Join us for one episode or both!

Episode 2 takes place at the start of the final weekend, and focuses solely on reds. Join us for one episode or both!

Love Orange Wine? Hate Orange Wine? Have no idea where to start with Orange wine?

Whichever camp you fall into, this is the tasting for you!

It’s back! War of the Rosés is a celebration of all shades of pink and an opportunity to rediscover rosé.

If you’re bored of drinking the same old rosés, this is the tasting for you.

It’s time for another wine and cheese night! This time, we’re focusing on the most misunderstood category of them all – sheep milk cheeses!

We’ll be tasting six cheeses, each one paired to a wine.

We’re taking big name wines and turning them on their head.

Think places like Champagne, Sancerre & Châteauneuf du Pape – but not as you know them.

Pop Ups, Special Events & Weekly Offers

As well as our monthly wine tastings, we host food pop ups and special events.

Upcoming dates for our regular Small Plates pop ups with Dotty in the Kitchen are:

Sat 20th June
(menu coming soon)

Expect a menu of seasonal delights from Dotty, and a curated wine list from Victor Indigo November.

Food served from 5pm. Last table booking at 7:45pm. Please let us know of any dietary requirements or allergies on booking.

We’ve teamed up with local cocktail specialists, Newcastle Cocktail Kitchen to showcase the use of our wines in cocktail form.

Four drinks will be served throughout the evening, with Angus from Newcastle Cocktail Kitchen talking through each one, highlighting how the flavour profile of wines can act as a great starting point for making cocktails.

The full menu will be announced closer to the date. Cheese boards will be available to pre-order, just email us after booking.

We’re delighted to be hosting Leila Killoran from Artisans Partisans for a night of food and wine pairing. Artisans Partisans are a Languedoc based winery creating distinctive wines, in harmony with their terroir.

We’ll be showcasing four of their wines, each paired to a delicious small plate served up by Dotty in the Kitchen.

Menu, pricing and tickets all coming very soon!

Back for it’s third year, Gateshead Wine Fair will take place on Sunday 11th October.
