Minimal intervention Pinot Noir and Poulsard blend from Jura

Domaine de la Pinte was founded by geologist Roger Martin with 14 hectares of Savagnin vines. Today, son Pierre manages 34 hectares of organic and biodynamic vines in the heart of Arbois, and grows all the key Jura varietals – Savagnin, Chardonnay, Poulsard, Pinot Noir and Trousseau.

La Capitaine is a blend of Pinot Noir (75%) and Poulsard, grown on red marl soils with an average vine age of 35 years old. Destemmed and fermented in separate vats, with little to no extraction. Spontaneous fermentation, no pump overs, and just the occasional punch down. After 6 months in separate barrels, the wines are blended together. Notes of violet and red fruit, with good depth and warm spices on the finish.

Local delivery

Local delivery is available within a 10 mile radius of the shop (NE8 2AJ) for a flat fee of £5. If you spend over £75, we will deliver for free.

We deliver Tuesday – Sunday. Order by 5pm for next day delivery, subject to stock availability. Need it faster? Order by 12pm for same day delivery, excluding Saturdays.

Collection

Free collection from the shop is always available, and you can collect any time during our normal opening hours. Please place your order by 11am on the day of collection, and collect within 7 days.

UK-wide delivery

Wine orders: We offer a flat-rate of £12 for UK delivery on all wine or mixed orders. Food orders: We offer a flat-rate of £5 for UK delivery if your order contains food products only. If you spend over £150, delivery is free.

Please note, as we are closed Monday and Tuesday, orders received over the weekend may not be shipped until Wednesday. Once dispatched, our courier aims to deliver next day. Excludes Northern Ireland. Some areas of Scotland will incur a surcharge, please contact us to confirm.
