Old vine, hand-harvested Carignan from the heart of the Languedoc

Originally from Champagne, Yves Falmet initially studied science in Montpellier and so discovered Languedoc. He gained a degree in biochemistry and carried out a year of research with the INRA. In 1996 with few resources and the aid of a loan, he purchased a few hectares of old bush vines (some of which are 90 years old) on northern facing limestone-clay hillsides in the north of the St Chinian appellation between the villages of Creissan and Cebazan.

Aromas of dark berries, black olives, and spicy fruit. The wine has excellent texture and mouthfeel and a long saline, supple tannin profile to finish.

Local delivery

Local delivery is available within a 10 mile radius of the shop (NE8 2AJ) for a flat fee of £5. If you spend over £75, we will deliver for free.

We deliver Tuesday – Sunday. Order by 5pm for next day delivery, subject to stock availability. Need it faster? Order by 12pm for same day delivery, excluding Saturdays.

Collection

Free collection from the shop is always available, and you can collect any time during our normal opening hours. Please place your order by 11am on the day of collection, and collect within 7 days.

UK-wide delivery

Wine orders: We offer a flat-rate of £12 for UK delivery on all wine or mixed orders. Food orders: We offer a flat-rate of £5 for UK delivery if your order contains food products only. If you spend over £150, delivery is free.

Please note, as we are closed Monday and Tuesday, orders received over the weekend may not be shipped until Wednesday. Once dispatched, our courier aims to deliver next day. Excludes Northern Ireland. Some areas of Scotland will incur a surcharge, please contact us to confirm.
